Meet our Marketing Manager – Jessica Hinton

I joined Hanover in May 2008 so this year is hugely monumental for me with celebrating my 10 year anniversary. Hanover was my first full time role after leaving college, I started as a Business Administrator and after about a year I started to assist our Marketing Manager with various projects. In May 2010 our then Marketing Manager was leaving and I was offered the opportunity to move into the marketing role full time. Fast forward 8 years and my role has progressed to Marketing & Administration Manager.

My main focus is on the continued development of Hanover’s brand and presence in the market. I work very closely with our Group CEO, James Emmett and our UK CEO, Stephen Phipps on ensuring we are at the top of our game and offering our clients the best possible service. I also manage internal IT and technology and our administration team. I have been extremely lucky with how my career has progressed during my time at Hanover. The management team have always been supportive and encouraged me to develop and take on further responsibilities.

Having been with the company 10 years how have you seen it evolve?

When I reflect on my time here at Hanover I often forget about just how far we have come and how things have evolved over the 10 years. We’ve moved offices, we’ve opened global offices, we’ve hired, we’ve acquired, we’ve changed our management team, we’ve invested in training and development programmes for staff, we’ve advanced the technology that we use, we’ve introduced a range of incentives for our employees and we’ve encouraged a more collaborative approach in how we work but one thing that has remained consistent is our passion and strive for excellence in what we do. When I joined Hanover we had just the one office in London. We are now at 50 staff with 8 global offices and a partnership with ALS International. It’s been an exciting journey seeing Hanover grow!

What are Hanover’s marketing plans for 2018?

There are lots of projects in the pipeline for this year which I’m excited to be involved in. We are trying to implement a more paperless environment in the office, with GDPR coming into play this month so I will be using this opportunity to really drive Hanover’s digital presence. Social Media is a huge platform and digital is where the trends are going and the way the world is moving. Technology will also be at the forefront of our plans enabling us to communicate more effectively with our global offices and clients.

What do you love most about marketing?

No two days are the same and the job is so varied. There are so many different aspects of marketing which makes it an interesting and exciting role to be a part of.

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself that no-one at Hanover would know?!

I got married last August and our wedding featured in the wedding magazine ‘To have & to hold’.
