Cate joined Hanover in 2012. After spending four years setting up our first US office in New York, she relocated to Los Angeles and now splits her time between both coasts. Cate is responsible for nurturing and growing Hanover's (re)insurance clients, covering the C-suite and senior roles across broking, underwriting and claims, as well as overseeing operations, compliance, marketing and sales. Cate has previous insurance industry experience in Europe and Latin America, and has a natural ability to develop relationships at all levels. She is passionate about insurance and match-making strong talent to top-notch companies. 

What is the biggest change you have seen since being at Hanover?  

As the second Hanover US employee, I’ve seen our firm evolve from being small and unknown into an established and well-respected brand. We’ve grown together as a team, and the training and support we provide our employees today (and especially our newest team members) are the best they've ever been.

How do you build great relationships with your clients and candidates?  

I genuinely care about people. I listen to our candidates' hesitations or concerns and address them to the best of my knowledge. When it comes to clients, I always portray my candidates as accurately as possible and do my best to be personable and efficient. Building a relationship of trust is essential in our business.
