Insurance companies need actuarial and analytics talent more than ever.

New and ever larger sources of data, IoT, regulation all require deep analytical insight coupled with strong risk management. The 21st century insurer will need vast insurance expertise and cutting-edge analytical techniques, all underpinned by a technology base.

Our actuarial and analytics practice has extensive experience of helping the world’s leading life and P&C insurance companies recruit rare and sought-after analytics talent. This includes both traditional (pricing, reserving, capital) as well as non-traditional actuarial roles (reinsurance analysis, investments, ILS). We have recruited countless leadership roles, including Chief Actuary, Chief Risk Officer and numerous functional heads of pricing, reserving and capital.

How can Hanover’s Talent Specialists help you

We have particularly strong expertise in the catastrophe modelling space.

We have recruited several catastrophe modelling and exposure management heads, both in the Lloyds as well as the Bermudan and US markets. Our client base spans insuretechs, brokers, ILS funds both large and mid-sized insurers, as well as some specialist operations involved in the insurance market (such as private equity funds that invest in insurance). Our data science capabilities have also grown to match increased hiring demand over the last three years.

Our practice also has significant research capabilities.

Our team compiles annual compensation surveys for our major disciplines (actuarial, catastrophe modelling and risk) and we have produced a number of research reports into areas such as the availability of AI and machine learning skills within insurance, analytics talent and market trends in specific geographies.
