Company culture is the shared values, attitudes, behaviours, and standards that make up a work environment.
It's the ethos of an organisation. Hanover has progressed from an organisation with a 'family' feeling, to more of a community, with shared values and behaviours that contribute to how we do things and how people interact. Our international growth and acquisitions have shaped this.
Our employees play a big part in driving the culture, from choosing Charities to support at an individual and company level to supporting local community activities and even choosing to wear Mickey Mouse hats at the end-of-quarter celebratory fun day!
As with every business since COVID, culture has shifted slightly. As we move to the 'new normal', a hybrid company for Hanover, we celebrate the opportunity to spend more time together in person. All our offices share the same values and purpose in delivering great work; however, all operate within their regional parameters of what works for them around teams, socialising, community work and the hybrid model.
As of 2023 - we are now all working in fabulous, fit-for-purpose new-age offices in Europe and the US, with the right environment for everyone to share ideas, excel, and improve and maintain their work-life balance.

Refuge
Starting in 2023, our new corporate charity is Refuge.
The organisation supports woman and children who need to get away from domestic abuse and need a haven, support etc. Refuge is the largest specialist domestic abuse organisation in the UK. On any given day their services support thousands of survivors, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives — free from fear.
We are running a series of events and charity auctions throughout the year to support them. You can also donate to the cause using the QR code.
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity
Over the last few years, we have been supporting the amazing Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, providing emotional and practical support to families who have a child with life-threatening or terminal illness. Together, we have raised an amazing sum of £17,197. That's enough to provide 573 hours of practical and emotional support for families caring for a seriously ill child.
