Barclay joined Hanover in 2023 as a Partner in the Insurance practice. An Executive Search consultant and strategic talent acquisition partner with over 20 years of recruitment experience, Barclay has broad industry and functional exposure within Financial Services with an emphasis on the Insurance sector. Barclay oversees Executive Search Projects for Insurance carriers, MGA’s, Reinsurers, Brokers, and Consulting Firms across the Property & Casualty, Health, and Life Insurance sectors. He has delivered placements in a wide variety of functional areas, including roles in Underwriting, Finance & Accounting, Actuarial, Data Science, Audit, Claims, Technology, Human Resources and Sales/Distribution. Barclay is based in Hanover’s Chicago office.

What advice would you give someone when looking to hire?
– Keep networking for quality candidates even when you don’t have an active hiring need
– Once a search is underway, strive to keep the process moving forward without significant delays between interview steps
