As Senior Partner, Rory leads Hanover’s international insurance practice. He has more than 12 years’ industry experience gained at Marsh, where he was a Director of the marine and energy risk services division, and prior to that at Hoare Govett stockbrokers. In 1998, he moved into insurance executive search specialising in senior executive positions within underwriting and claims, CRM and distribution, actuarial and risk, data and analytics risk and digital transformation. He has a MA (Hons) in History from Edinburgh University.

Assess each candidate’s tenacity and ability to see things through.
Assess how they make themselves accountable.
Assess their ability to be empathetic whilst putting forward their views in a well-considered way.
What would you like to explore and learn more about?
I would like to research more about the socio-economic reasons why firms collapse and how humanistic behaviour is the root cause of such failures.
